STORING
Do not forget that storage is a very important detail, as is washing.Storing your lingerie properly helps maintain its shape. Store it neatly, somewhere safe and dry.
WASHING
When it comes to washing your lingerie – gently does it. If you have time, wash your bras by hand in warm water, do not twist or towel dry.
If you are short on time, you can wash in the washing machine, but take all the necessary competition to maintain the quality of the bra. Check the care label. Pressure and heat have a negative effect on the inserted foam, pronounced fading, and fasteners can damage delicate fabrics or lace.
Do not forget that you can not wash white things with color!
To maintain the durability of your underwired bra, use special laundry bags. Separate whites, brights and dark colours. Wash new items separately – their colours can easily bleed, especially if they’re dark.
Wash up to 30°C and only use detergents and programs for delicate fabrics. Go easy on the washing and on your detergent use – your lingerie will thank you and so will the planet. We also recommend using liquid detergents as they dissolve faster in water, helping colors last longer. Try to wring out the bra by hand, do not use a dryer – let it dry naturally.
All underwear should be washed at a low temperature on a delicate wash. If products are made of lace and other thin fabrics, then you need to wash at a temperature not higher than 30 degrees, and cotton fabrics – not higher than 40.
Wash soft bras without wires and fillers in the 30-40 degree mode.
Choose a gel for washing underwear, not a powder. It dissolves better than granules.
White linen that has acquired a yellow tint should be washed with bleach, but you do not need to pre-soak it, there will be a reverse effect and the linen will turn yellow even more.
Zip up your bras and put them in your laundry bag so that loose fasteners don’t get tangled up and damage the fabric. Or wash padded or underwired bras by hand – to maintain their shape and fit.
Read labels on underwear carefully. For example, elastane material does not tolerate soaking and bleaching with chlorine.
Wash soiled things immediately, because the absorbed dirt is much more difficult to wash off. By following these simple tips, you will extend the life of your belongings, as well as save money in times of crisis.
DRYING
Tumble drying and drying on a battery can really take its toll on your lingerie. It is best to resort to the old-fashioned method – on a rope or a board, also linen does not like the sun’s rays – it can burn out.
Either hang it out or lay it flat on a towel with the cups facing up to air dry naturally.Line dry or lay flat on dry fabrics.
REUSE
RECYCLE
When you’re finally ready to bid a fond farewell to your lingerie, it doesn’t have to be the end – it’s always better for items to be reused or repurposed than to go to landfill.
Look out for local clothes recycling banks or charity shops that accept lingerie. And keep an eye out for our new recycling initiative, launching soon.
